Historical & Technical Background

The K21 IFV (also known as the Next-generation Infantry Fighting Vehicle) was developed by Hanwha Defense and adopted by the Republic of Korea Army. It features an aluminium chassis and fiberglass hatches, allowing weight reduction and high mobility.  Its primary armament is a 40 mm K40 autocannon, and it is designed to transport infantry with protection and firepower. 

Modeling Tips

• Wash all plastic parts in warm soapy water before assembly to remove mould-release agents. 
• Use plastic cement for strong joins; sub-assemble the turret and hull first.
• Prime the model in neutral grey or black, then use modern military paint schemes (olive drab, grey-green). 
• Use washes and dry-brushing to emphasize panel lines and surface detail.
• Use photo-etched parts carefully — they add realistic fine detail like periscope grills.
