Discover a completely different side of the cacao fruit with Bantu Chocolate Boocha Cacao Pulp Kombucha, a lightly sparkling fermented drink made with the sweet white pulp surrounding the cacao bean. Instead of tasting like chocolate, cacao pulp brings bright tropical fruit flavours with notes reminiscent of yuzu, lychee and apricot, followed by a subtle honeyed finish and clean kombucha acidity.
Boocha is made by fermenting a kombucha base with cacao pulp juice, turning a traditionally overlooked part of the cacao fruit into a distinctive modern beverage. After pasteurisation for shelf stability, the drink is cold-dosed with Bacillus coagulans, providing approximately 1–2 billion CFU per can according to the manufacturer.
The result is a refreshing, lightly carbonated drink that works particularly well as an alternative to juice or a second coffee during the day. It can also be served chilled over ice for a sophisticated alcohol-free drink option.
