Historical Context

In July 1942, the SAS acquired Willys Jeeps and modified them for desert raiding deep behind enemy lines. These jeeps were stripped of roof, windscreen, doors; fitted with extra fuel & water storage, wheel channels, and sun compass systems to survive harsh terrain.
